Non-Destructive Testing Skills (NDT) qualifications to be upgraded
The Manufacturing Alliance is commencing work on a new project to support the MEM Manufacturing and Engineering Training Package.
Revised international standards for non-destructive testing (NDT), which underpin certification for NDT technicians have impacted units in the MEM Manufacturing and Engineering Training Package. As a result, we have identified a need to revise and update 19 units of competency for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Skills.
The revisions will reflect changes to the international standards, released in the Non-destructive testing – Qualification and certification of NDT personnel (ISO9712:2021); it will also consider alignment of the units to the certification requirements for NDT technicians reflected in the Non-destructive testing – NDT training syllabuses (ISO25107:2019).
